Job summary

A leading educational institution seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children in a classroom setting. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for working with children, combined with strong communication and teamwork skills. This position will start on 1st September 2025 and provides an opportunity for further training and development in teaching.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant preferred.
  • Current pursuit of TA qualification is accepted.
  • Ability to deliver stimulating learning opportunities.

Job description

Actual salary - £11136 - £18683 per annum - TA1 - TA2

(£23,656 - £25,183 FTE (actual salary will be pro-rata with pending pay award))

Pay Scale will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

19hrs 50min to 31hrs 15min Monday – Friday

Required: 1st September 2025 -1 year Fixed Term variable contract with a possibility of becoming permanent

We are committed to providing high quality learning for all children and are looking to recruit a class-based Teaching Assistant to support children.

This post is suitable for an experienced Teaching Assistant or for applicants who are in the process of gaining a TA qualification.

There will be further support and training available.

Qualities we are looking for in our Teaching Assistant:

• An interest in, and love of, working with children.

•The ability to work as part of a team.
• Imaginative in delivering and supporting stimulating learning opportunities for children.

• Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.

• Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative.

• Be patient, able to stay calm, listen, and value children’s views
• Good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
