Salary (Actual): £23,656 - £25,183 Annually (FTE)
Grade: NJC Grade C to D
Our client, a welcoming and inclusive secondary academy based in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their student support team on a part-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide high-quality support to individuals and small groups, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support to students, ensuring access to learning and progress
Work with individuals and small groups under the direction of teaching staff
Support students with a range of learning needs, including SEND
Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting
A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learners
Good communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work as part of a collaborative team
A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
