* Setting: Mainstream Primary School
* Start Date: ASAP
* Pay: £90 - £100 per day, depending on experience
* Ongoing work until the end of the school year
* Availability: Wednesdays and Fridays each week
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bath. In this role, you will work one-on-one with students with ASD, focusing on their unique needs and helping them succeed in the classroom.
As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to the student’s educational, emotional, and social development. This role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative school environment, supporting young learners in reaching their full potential through dynamic and engaging activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to children with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Assist teachers in preparing resources and maintaining an inclusive classroom environment.
* Encourage the child’s learning and development through structured activities and play.
* Track and document the child’s progress, sharing updates with staff and parents.
* Uphold safeguarding policies to maintain a safe and positive environment.
You will need:
* Enhanced DBS Check (We can assist with this)
* Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology OR a good education background (GCSE’s in Maths and English) plus prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
