Job summary

Peterborough Limited is seeking a friendly Teaching Assistant to work with our primary pupils in a village school. You will support children within the learning environment and assist teachers with pupil education, contributing to a caring, Christian ethos.

You will help maintain a safe, ordered classroom, manage behaviour respectfully, and engage in CPD including First Aid and safeguarding training. Outdoor learning and nature are integral to our curriculum, welcoming a collaborative school

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly.
• Able to create a safe, happy and engaging learning environment.
• Supports pupil behaviour in line with the school's Behaviour Policy.
• Willing to undertake CPD including First Aid and safeguarding training.
• Understands and respects the Christian ethos of the school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils in the learning environment.
• Assist the teacher with pupil education and activities.
• Support the management of pupil behaviour and follow the Behaviour Policy.
• Promote outdoor learning and nature as part of the curriculum.
• Build positive and confidential relationships with children and the school community.
