Teaching Assistant - Music Specialist

Trial Days Ongoing - Brent NW10

Monday to Friday.

Reeson Education is working with a well-respected and inclusive primary school in North West London that is looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable Music Specialist seeking and Teaching Assistant - Music Specialist work to join their team from September 2025 and help support children with special needs in addition to delivering music sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in supporting children's learning and development, and a commitment to helping every child thrive in a nurturing and ambitious school community.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups, helping them to access learning across the curriculum
  • Deliver small group music sessions
  • Have fun and get all the children involved in music to promote complete academic progression.
  • Support other staff organising school concerts.
  • Provide targeted support for children with a range of needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the school's values around anti-racism, equity and community engagement
Qualifications
  • A positive, resilient and caring approach to working with children
  • Have a background in music and the ability to lead small group music lessons on a main instrument such as piano or guitar
  • A team player who is reliable, enthusiastic and proactive
  • Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance (or equivalent experience)
