Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in Sheffield, supporting pupils with SEND across specialist settings.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist teachers with engaging lessons, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. The role is full-time with a daily rate of £95-£130, depending on experience and budget.

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across a well-established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Sheffield, supporting pupils across specialist educational settings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with SEND to access learning and develop their independence.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Has a patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is confident adapting their support to meet individual needs.
• Is reliable, flexible and willing to work across different schools within the trust.
• Is available to work full-time, ideally Monday to Friday.
• Experience within specialist SEN settings would be particularly beneficial.
