Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust in the United Kingdom invites applications for an enthusiastic individual to join our school community. You will support lunchtime supervision and work in the classroom, assisting the class teacher and helping students to learn.

The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, split as 12-1pm lunchtime supervision and 1-3pm Teaching Assistant support. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience or willingness to supervise students at lunchtime.
  • Ability to support learning in small groups and individually when needed.
  • Strong teamwork and reliable, positive attitude in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise lunchtime activities and maintain safe, calm environment.
  • Assist the class teacher in the classroom and support students with learning tasks.

Job description

We wish to appoint an outstanding individual to join our happy and positive school, supporting with lunchtime supervision and in the classroom, assisting the class teacher, supporting students.

The role is for 15 hours Monday - Friday and will be split as follows:

  • 12-1pm MSA
  • 1-3pm Teaching Assistant

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has high expectations of what children can achieve
  • Can inspire all children including those who have barriers to learning
  • Can work as part of a team

We are looking for someone who ideally:

  • Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude and is able to set clear, firm expectations for behaviour
  • Has good English and Maths, essential to have a L2 qualification in both
  • Is a nurturing, calm and forward-thinking individual
  • Would embrace our school ethos
  • Can communicate well and form positive relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Has a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children and can demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • Is flexible and adaptable to situations and willing to work as part of a team
