Mountjoy School is looking for a dedicated Classroom Teaching Assistant to support young people with additional needs. This permanent role involves working 31 hours per week during term time. Mountjoy School is seeking to appoint a Classroom Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis, working 31 hours per week for 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days). Grade 4, £24,404 - £24,790 FTE (pay award pending).
We are looking for someone with experience supporting young people with additional needs and a strong understanding of child learning and development.
Applicants must have achieved a qualification in English/literacy and mathematics/numeracy, equivalent to at least Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 passes). Certificates will need to be provided to confirm these qualifications.

Working hours are as follows:
Due to the school's needs, we cannot offer different working hours from those advertised. However, applications for part-time work (minimum 2 days per week for the above hours) are welcome.
Teaching Assistants work for 39 weeks annually, including 5 Inset days. Salary is paid in equal installments throughout the year, including August.
