Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking caring Teaching Assistants to join welcoming primary schools in Mitcham. You will support pupils, assist the class teacher with engaging activities, and provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate brings experience with children, patience, and strong communication and teamwork skills. DBS Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in schools or similar settings.
  • Willing to obtain/possess a DBS Update Service check.
  • Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic with good team spirit.
  • Ability to adapt and support children of varying abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.

Protocol Education is working with welcoming and supportive primary schools in Mitcham that are looking for passionate Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, or individuals looking to gain valuable experience working with children.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils in the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
  • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support where needed.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, or similar setting.
  • Is patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is adaptable and confident supporting children of different abilities.
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
