At GSL, we are seeking passionate individuals to join our team and make a difference in children's lives!

GSL is recruiting for a Male Teaching Assistant for a friendly school in the South Ockendon area. This role involves working with children with SEMH and behavioural needs, providing the support they need to thrive and learn.

Position Details:
  • Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
  • Location: South Ockendon
  • Salary: £85-£115 per day
  • Contract: Full-time
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  2. Implement strategies and interventions to support social and emotional development.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to meet students' needs.
  4. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Willingness to learn and apply SEMH strategies and interventions.
