Pickwick Academy Trust is seeking a permanent, part-time Teaching Assistant, Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician, and Afterschool Club Leader at Corsham Primary School.

Role Overview

This varied and rewarding role requires someone enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to supporting children throughout the school day and into the afterschool period. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support individual pupils and small groups with their learning, contribute to the smooth running of the classroom, and help create a positive and engaging lunchtime environment.

As the Afterschool Club Leader, the candidate will be responsible for planning and leading fun and stimulating activities for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing in a caring and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils' learning and self-esteem, inclusion, and behavioral development.
  • Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required.
  • Support the teacher and the curriculum, including setting up and maintaining classroom equipment.
  • Lead the day-to-day running of the afterschool provision, including supervising staff, managing bookings, and ensuring all staff follow school policies.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate activities for children.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, school staff, and the leadership team.
