Teaching Assistant Level 4 – Support and Delivering Learning

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work on the Post 16 Pathway 1 Independent Living Skills (ILS) course, within the Ceredigion Post 16 specialist provision. The Pathway 1 ILS course caters to students with severe learning, physical, and/or medical difficulties, providing bespoke provision to meet their learning needs.

The Level 4 Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of the specialist teacher to deliver learning activities and interventions as part of an enriched, differentiated curriculum and life skills programme for students with severe learning needs in the Pathway 1 ILS programme. They will establish constructive relationships and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other agencies/professionals, in liaison with the teacher, to support learners' achievement and progress.

The teaching assistant should have the ability to create meaningful relationships and inspire students with severe learning difficulties, supporting them on their pathway to adulthood.
