Job summary

MEA Central is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing) to join our supportive team in Manchester. This permanent role is 35 hours per week during term time plus 5 INSET days, with pre-employment checks to commence as soon as complete.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant Level 4 (Safeguarding and Wellbeing) role
• Experience supporting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing would be desirable
• Ability to build trusted relationships with pupils and work with staff and external agencies

Responsibilities

• Act as a safeguarding-focused support for pupils, under the direction of senior staff and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning
• Deliver and support targeted interventions to meet individual pupil needs
• Build trusted, professional relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Monitor and report concerns relating to safeguarding, welfare, or attendance in line with school policies
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reports, and meetings where required
• Promote inclusivity and positive behaviour in line with the school's values
