About the Role

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Yew Tree Primary School, Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, SK16 5BJ.

Yew Tree is a two-form entry school with 47 staff and 370 pupils aged between 3 and 11. Yew Tree’s school motto is ‘Working together to achieve.

To start: March 2025 ASAP.

The Teaching Assistant Level 3 full time salary is £27,269-£22,494.

This is a fixed term, part-time role, 32 hours per week, Term Time Only with an actual salary of £20,743-£22,494 (TMBC Grade E, Points 11-16) with a view to extend into the next academic year.

Our Trust’s vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration, motivation, and to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our academies and all roles at our Academy are central to ensuring that we work to support this.

Responsibilities

To work under the guidance/instruction of designated teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a person who has:

  1. Proven outstanding experience/practice as a Teaching Assistant Level 3
  2. Experience of teaching groups of pupils at primary level, preferably in KS2
  3. Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
  4. Excellent skills in team working
  5. Excellent skills in working with children
  6. Commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm
  7. A desire for career development
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
