Job Description:

Due to a further expansion we are seeking to appoint Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our ever growing team.

Springwood is a large primary age Special School (360 pupils aged 5 11) based over four sites, which caters for pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs.

Springwood is now part of The Link Education Trust.

At Springwood Primary School we are constantly striving to create the best learning opportunities for every pupil. We aim to provide a specialist, high quality, relevant and

balanced education for pupils with SEND aged 5 -11.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a large and lively school and be part of its future developments.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria:

  • Are you interested in supporting primary age children with complex needs to achieve their potential?
  • Will you ensure that all our pupils are included and supported to develop whatever their special educational needs or behaviour challenges?
  • Can you work as part of a team to provide an appropriate learning environment for our pupils?
  • Do you want to learn new skills and participate in your own professional development?
  • Previous experience of working with young people of school age who may present with challenging behaviour and complex needs, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Are you ready to develop your skills and expertise to lead groups of pupils?
  • Do you have the drive to develop your skills and expertise in a nominated area of specialist communication?

Shortlisted candidates will be invited into school to undertake a class based task, an ICT task and a panel interview.

References will be requested prior to interview for shortlisted candidates only.
