Join to apply for the Teaching Assistant Level 3 role at Prospere Learning Trust

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Literacy Support) to join our team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA).

This is a Grade 4, permanent full-time post working 35 hours per week, term time only. The starting salary is £21,441, with a full-time equivalent salary of £25,584.

We’re Looking For

Literacy support to pupils aged 11-16. You will demonstrate a commitment to professional standards, including policies on equality, diversity, and child protection. Empathy and tact are essential to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders.

Main Purpose Of The Job

This role involves providing additional literacy support to pupils, working collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil wellbeing, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will support access to learning, manage pupils and resources, and ensure compliance with strategic processes, including behavior management strategies.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Participate in the assessment of pupils to identify those needing help.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Education/Behavior/Support/Mentoring plans.
  • Support pupils with special needs.
  • Establish productive relationships with pupils and serve as a positive role model.
  • Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements and support distressed pupils.
  • Support pupils in making decisions about their learning, behavior, and attendance.
  • Contribute to performance management and professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and be aware of safeguarding policies.
  • Report concerns related to child protection.
