Job description

Are you a skilled and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Applebough Education is proud to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Tipton area to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant who can provide both classroom and one-to-one SEN support.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support children across the school, with a particular focus on pupils with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This may include providing one-to-one support or small group interventions to help pupils access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

  • Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting

  • Show strong understanding of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support them

  • Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable to individual pupil needs

  • Have confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents

  • Be proactive, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
