Job summary

Millwood School is seeking a conscientious teaching assistant (Level 3) to support pupils with significant educational needs. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days, based at Millwood School, a well-established special school with specialist facilities.

The successful candidate will be warm, resilient and nurturing, able to work with a team and contribute to individual learning objectives and therapy programmes. A robust induction and development programme is offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates warmth, resilience and nurturing approach to pupils.
• Able to work across the school within a team and alongside the teacher.
• Supports learning objectives and programmes of study and therapy when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive teaching assistance to pupils with significant additional educational needs.
• Assist with implementing programmes of study and therapy plans.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
• Support communication and physical development through targeted activities.
