Job summary

Portland Spencer Academy in Bilborough, Nottingham invites applications for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will provide outstanding support for teaching across Early Years to KS2 and cover PPA sessions when required.

The role requires relevant qualifications in line with DFE lists and a positive, flexible approach. You will work closely with teachers, pupils and parents to foster strong relationships, managing behaviour skilfully and contributing to high quality

Qualifications

  • Must have relevant qualifications and training in line with the new DFE qualifications list (e.g. NVQ/CACHE in working with children).
  • Ability to offer outstanding support for teaching and lead in a classroom as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting teaching and learning across EYFS to KS2 with strong behaviour management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality teaching assistant support across lessons and activities.
  • Cover short-term whole class teaching during PPA sessions as required.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff to support learning.

Portland Spencer Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school situated in Bilborough, Nottingham and we are looking for enthusiastic, highly skilled, committed and flexible Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Our Level 3 TA roles are varied, dynamic and exciting including short term whole class cover for PPA sessions.

  • has relevant qualifications and training in line with the new DFE qualifications list. i.e. NVQ/CACHE in working with children
  • can offer outstanding support for teaching
  • is keen to lead in a classroom as part of a team
  • has experience of supporting teaching and learning across school from EYFS to KS2
  • has a wide range of behaviour management techniques
  • has a commitment to making a difference to children’s lives
  • has drive and an enthusiastic approach to work as a positive member of an excellent team
  • has excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • has an ability to foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and other professionals
