Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, Carnforth, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils in their learning and personal development, working closely with class teachers to create a nurturing, inclusive and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.

The role is fixed term until 31 August 2027, 27.5 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks). Starting 1 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
• NVQ Level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in their learning and personal development.
• Work closely with class teachers to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
• Assist with classroom tasks to help every child flourish.
