Job summary

Wootton Wawen C of E Primary School is seeking a Positive, motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support the class teacher in planning, delivering and evaluating lessons and activities.

You will work with individuals and groups, helping pupils develop communication, confidence and independence, and support those with additional needs under our Thrive approach and safeguarding commitments.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher in planning, delivering and evaluating lessons and learning activities.
• Work with individual pupils and groups, adapting support to their needs and responses.
• Help pupils develop communication, independence, confidence and positive relationships.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
• Observe pupils’ learning, record progress and share useful feedback with the teacher.
• Prepare and care for teaching resources and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Safeguard pupils and support their welfare, including supervision and personal care where needed.
• Contributing to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
