Job summary

Moordown St John's CE Primary School in Bournemouth is recruiting Teaching Assistants on a fixed-term contract for the Spring and Summer terms. 30 hours per week, 08:30–15:00, term-time only with lunch unpaid, start asap to 31 July 2026.

You will provide class-based learning support across EYFS/KS1/KS2, with emphasis on complex SEND needs, lunchtime supervision, and on-the-job training to prepare for future teacher training.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children with SEND.
• Ability to work in a team in a school setting.
• Genuine interest in working with children and entering the education profession.

Responsibilities

• Provide class-based learning support for EYFS/KS1/KS2.
• Support children with SEND as detailed in EHC Plans.
• Supervise lunchtime and assist during the school day.
• Be part of a team and contribute to a caring school environment.
