Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the team at Rhos Primary School in Pontardawe. The role is 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year (term-time only). The successful candidate must have NVQ Level 2 in Early Years/Childcare and Education or an equivalent qualification.

Experience with primary pupils, including those with additional learning needs, is advantageous. This is a part-time, temporary position with Disability Confident employer scheme noted.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 2 - Early Years Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in the primary sector, including those with additional learning needs, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class activities and learning sessions.
• Assist teachers with planning and delivering learning activities.
• Work on-site at Rhos Primary School to support students during term time.
