Salary: Grade 3 SCP 5 - 6£24,790 - £25,183 (Pro rata)

St Julian’s Primary School provides education for pupils aged between 3 and 11 years. It is located in the Beechwood residential area of Newport. The school currently has 614 pupils on roll, plus 100 part-time pupils in the nursery.
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, and professional Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to support children with additional learning needs. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Head Teacher/ALNCo and should be committed to helping each child achieve their full potential, demonstrating sensitivity to their needs.
You will need excellent literacy and numeracy skills, along with good communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to the overall care and development of pupils.
This is a fixed-term position until 31 March 2026, with an immediate start. The working hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during term time. Holidays must be taken during school closure periods.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
