The Role

The Governing Board of High Lawn Primary and Nursery School are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and popular school. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to all aspects of school life and be able to work as part of a team. They will have the ability to maintain our high standards and have a firm belief in the potential of all children.

The post is to support children on a one to one basis in year groups across the school who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

About You

We are looking for an individual who:

  • has experience of being a Teaching Assistant/Special Needs Assistant in a primary school;
  • has an excellent subject knowledge of the National Curriculum;
  • has experience of supporting children who have an Education Health and Care Plan;
  • has excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • is an exemplary Teaching Assistant/SNA;
  • has high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour;
  • is committed to working in close partnership with parents, Governors and the wider community.
