The Governors at St Mary’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with our upper Key Stage Two children.

The candidates needs to:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children of primary school age or NVQ 2 or equivalent in teaching assistance
  • Have experience of working within the Primary phase
  • Have high expectations for all children
  • Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and kindness, and demonstrating consideration for their development as learners
  • Demonstrate high standards of spoken and written English
  • Work as part of an effective team
  • Carry out administrative tasks to a good standard, including using ICT
  • Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life

Completed application forms should be returned to Ross Powell (Head teacher) by Monday 23 rd June at 4.00pm. The interview process will be in two parts. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to come into school to work with a group of children. If successful during the first part of the interview process, candidates will be invited back for interview. Observations and interviews will be held during week beginning Monday 30 th June 2025.
