Sharples School, part of the Multi-Academy Trust, is an over-subscribed mixed comprehensive school with over 1,200 pupils, located in the North of Bolton. The school offers stimulating and innovative learning opportunities, transforming aspirations and educational outcomes for all students and the local community. Following a 'Good' rating in 2019, the school was judged as 'significantly improved in all areas' in its last inspection in January 2025.

Role Overview

Governors are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the AHT SEND. The role involves assisting in the delivery of provisions outlined in pupils’ statements of special educational needs, individual education/behaviour plans, and providing personal, intimate care. Applications from graduates seeking in-school experience prior to teacher training are welcome.
