Location: 640 Eccles New Road, Salford, M5 5AG

Salary Grade: range 7 - 18/ point 7
£25,584 FTE Plus SNA of £813 - this is pro rated to £22,730

Working Pattern: Term time only plus 5 PDD
Working Hours: 36
Contract Type: Permanent contract, subject to a satisfactory 6 month probationary period.

Arbour Academy is a Pupil Health Referral Unit based in Eccles, working with young people with a range of mental health concerns. We have a very strong record of success with our pupils and maintain high levels of support for them and their family network.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Family Support Worker as soon as possible.

The successful applicant will be required to provide support to pupils with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. We are looking for applicants who have high expectations for all students and are committed to developing their full potential. Previous experience in working with ASD/SEND pupils is desirable.

Applicants are expected to:

  1. have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  2. possess good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills in order to support learning;
  3. have the ability to promote independence and confidence;
  4. be an excellent role model to all.

You must have a caring, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team, as well as be able to use your own initiative and work without supervision. Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
