Teaching Assistant Level 2 - SEND SUPPORT

TA2 grade, 31 hours + SEN allowance, Term Time + 5 days
Grade D SCP 6, £25,183 - £27,269 pro rata
Permanent Position (aligned with child's EHCP and attendance at Heathfield)

Working hours: Monday, Wednesday 8:40am - 3:20pm; Thursday 8:40am - 3:15pm; Friday 8:20am - 3:15pm

About the Role

The Governors at Heathfield Primary School seek an experienced and motivated SEND Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception. We value candidates with primary phase experience and a passion for inclusive education, aligned with our mission: Learning Together, Learning for Life.

Candidate Requirements
  1. Love working with children and have a positive attitude
  2. Establish good relationships and act as a role model
  3. Experience with effective communication, phonics, ASD, SEMH, and delivering bespoke, multisensory curricula
  4. Support children in recording their learning and developing independence skills
  5. Support speech, language, and communication development; willing to undergo training
  6. Respond appropriately to individual needs, promote inclusion, and demonstrate commitment to quality learning
  7. Qualifications and experience in SEND preferred
  8. Collaborate well with staff and external agencies
