Darton Academy invites applications for a part-time Teaching Assistant Level 2 to cover maternity leave from November 2026. You will work under teaching staff guidance to support learning and classroom management, in a large, successful academy with a strong focus on student outcomes.

The role involves assisting with lesson activities, supporting access to learning for pupils, and contributing to a calm, structured classroom environment.

Darton Academy are looking to appoint an TA L2 to join our academy in November 2026, on a part time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. You may carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
