Job summary

Grange Lane Infant Academy in Doncaster is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils aged 2 to 7 under the guidance of teaching staff. The role is temporary starting January 2027, with responsibilities in class and potentially outdoor work to aid access to learning.

The successful candidate will have experience with early years and SEN where applicable, with Level 3 early education preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with special educational needs including providing personal and intimate care is desirable.
• Level 3 certificate in early education is preferred.
• Experience in early years/infant settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work under the instruction of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils.
• Assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
