Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Fixed Term Until 31/07/26 - Christ Church CE Primary School

The role

The Governors of Christ Church CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a fixed-term Teaching Assistant to work primarily but not exclusively in KS2 to provide in-class and intervention support for SEND and targeted children primarily associated with literacy skill needs and mathematical progression. This is a fixed term contract from 01 September 2025 until 31 July 2026, working 27.50 hours a week, term time only plus inset days.

We are looking for a person who:

• Has experience of working with children with a range of needs – ASD and knowledge of phonics progression of particular value
• Can work collaboratively with other staff employing a sensitive and enthusiastic approach
• Can communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff
• Can develop positive relationships with children and staff to assist the progress and attainment of children
• Has a positive attitude to managing children’s behaviour
• Has NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent/higher
