St George’s CE Primary School Governors are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (BSL level trained) to join our school and work 1-1 with a deaf child in year 1.

Main duties of this role will involve:

The role includes working 1-1 and supporting the individual child to access the curriculum via small groups, both in and out of classroom settings.

This will include daily whole class teaching of BSL.

The successful candidate will also liaise regularly with a teacher for Salford’s Deaf Education Team.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and outside agencies.
