Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking enthusiastic Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. You will support pupils, including those with SEND, helping them reach their learning goals and wellbeing.

In this role, you will collaborate with teachers and school staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons, adapt strategies for individual needs, and contribute to a positive, safe learning environment across multiple

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children or young people in a school, educational, childcare, or support setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, compassionate, and committed to supporting pupil development.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working across different schools.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups to enhance their learning and engagement.
• Assist teachers in delivering effective and inclusive lessons.
• Provide targeted interventions to support academic progress.
• Support children and young people with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence and confidence.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.
• Adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of learners across different school settings.
