Job summary

Ermine Primary Academy in Lincoln is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support teaching and learning. You will work closely with teachers and pupils, helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

1:1 work may be required, and you will monitor and report on children's progress. The role offers a permanent contract with salary points 3-4 (£25,614 - £26,016 FTE) and an actual salary range of £19,158 - £19,458.

Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Ermine Primary Academy

What does a Teaching Assistant - Level 2 do?

In a nutshell:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2 you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning. You will work closely with teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. 1:1 work may be required at times. You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for the pupils and monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on children’s progress and development.

The role:

  • Location: Ermine Primary Academy, Lincoln

  • Contract: Permanent

  • Salary Scale: Scale 2, points 3-4 £25,614 - £26,016 (FTE)

  • Actual Salary: £19,158 - £19,458

  • Reports to: Principal

  • Closing Date: 28th September 2026

  • Interviews will be held: 5th October 2026 (proposed date)
