Job summary

The Active Learning Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) for Chesterton Primary School to support teaching across the classroom and help pupils participate and progress. You will work closely with teachers to adapt activities for diverse learning needs and contribute to planning and feedback on progress.

You will assist with monitoring pupil progress, support social and emotional development, and help create a safe, positive learning environment for pupils, staff and families.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and adapt planned learning activities under teacher direction, promoting inclusion.

Job description

At Chesterton Primary School, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to play a valued role in supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. Working closely with teachers, this role focuses on supporting individuals and small groups, adapting activities to meet diverse needs and helping every pupil to participate, progress and feel included. Alongside contributing to planning and providing feedback on progress, the postholder will support pupils' social and emotional development, creating a positive and nurturing environment. We are seeking someone who is practical, attentive and committed to high expectations, with a genuine belief that every child can achieve.,

• Assist with monitoring, recording and reporting pupils' progress and behaviour
