Job summary

St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School in Salford is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, with start and finish times 8:15am–3:45pm, to support learning and classroom activities.

We value fast learners with excellent spoken and written English and Maths skills, who are caring and flexible and eager to learn on the job. A fully enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Passport/ID – you must provide original documentation confirming your right to work in the UK.
• Qualifications/registrations if applicable for the role.

• If you have lived or worked abroad for 3 months or more in the last 5 years or 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the last 10 years whilst aged 18 or over, refer to gov.uk guidance for Certificates of Good Character.
