Teaching Assistant Level 1 Jubilee Park Primary School

Salary: Grade 2 SCP 3 - 5 £24,027 - £24,790 (Pro rata)

Post No. POSN000306 - Teaching Assistant Level 1 Jubilee Park Primary School

Fixed Term Post: 1st September 2025 - 20th July 2026

The position will be 33.5 hours a week:

  1. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
  2. Tuesday 8:30am-4:30pm

Applicants are invited to apply for a Teaching Assistant to support children with additional learning needs at Jubilee Park Primary School in Newport, starting on 1st September 2025. Experience working with ALN pupils is highly desirable.

Jubilee Park Primary School, opened on 1st September 2017, is an English-medium, community-maintained school. It supports the Jubilee Park housing development and is within the Bassaleg cluster of primary schools.

The appointment process includes an interview with a member of the Leadership Team and a Governing Body representative.

The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Registration with the EWC is required.
