The Governing Body is seeking to appoint two Teaching Assistants to work 30 hours per week within our Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Department. The successful candidates will possess strong literacy and numeracy skills and will support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. These posts involve working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs within a mainstream secondary school setting.
The Successful Candidates Will:
• Work alongside teachers to support pupils' access to learning.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and promoting high expectations.
• Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in learning.
• Encourage pupils to interact positively with others and participate fully in activities led by the teacher.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
• Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
• Use a person-centred approach to support individual pupils and help them achieve their potential.
