Job summary

Denbigh High School in Luton is seeking a Teaching Assistant (level 1) to join our Support for Learning Team. You will support pupils with their learning, plan with teachers and prepare resources, with experience in supporting pupils with special needs being advantageous.

We require good behaviour management, flexibility, enthusiasm and outstanding communication. The role is permanent, term time plus 5 training days, 37 hours per week over 39 weeks, starting salary £22,514 per year, with DBS

• Experience of working with children with special needs or barriers to learning is advantageous.

• Willing to undertake training, support and induction.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and plan with teachers.
• Prepare teaching resources and materials as directed by the class team.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and clear communication in the learning environment.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (level 1) to join our Support for Learning Team. Candidates will be required to support pupils with their learning, to plan with teachers and to prepare resources. Experience of working with children with special needs or any barriers to learning would be an advantage.

The successful candidate should have good behaviour management skills, be flexible, enthusiastic and have outstanding communication skills.

Contract type: Permanent - term time plus 5 training days.

Hours of work: 37hrs per week / 39 weeks per year working 08:00-16:00

Starting salary: £22,514pa
