Job summary

The Role

The Beckmead Trust is an expanding learning and nurturing community for young people with Education Health Care Plans and various additional needs across multiple sites. We are recruiting experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants at Level 1 to join our team at Chaffinch Brook School.

Chaffinch Brook is a special school for children with Autism and challenging behaviour, established on two sites for primary and secondary students.

This role requires an adaptable, flexible, and resourceful individual capable of coping in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.

The successful candidate will be an excellent teaching assistant committed to supporting pupils with social communication difficulties, ASD, SEMH, and other learning needs. Motivation, teamwork, classroom, and communication skills are essential. Applications from both new and experienced assistants passionate about working with children with complex needs are welcome.
