Job summary

Teaching Personnel is hiring a Teaching Assistant to join our Leeds primary schools. The role pays £92-£110 per day and requires enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for welfare, education and development.

You will support SEN students, plan small group and one-to-one tutoring, and assist teachers. Experience with young children in educational settings is preferred; Level 2 qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory, and a basic first aid certificate is a plus.

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our Leeds Primary Schools. This position will pay £92-£110 per day.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable candidate that would be comfortable working with students with special educational needs. This role requires a passion for welfare, education and development. Applicants with relevant experience such as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Sport Coach and Healthcare Assistant are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Basic first aid certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities within this role include:

• Plan and deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programmes
• Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes
• Assist classroom teachers in their work, ensuring that SEN students participate in the lessons and make good progress
• Undertake break time and lunch time duties as directed
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers to ensure a brilliant level of communication.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
