Job summary

Oak Green School is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to support a Class Teacher in a dynamic classroom setting. You will help with reading, planning and assessing learning, as well as preparation, organisation and supervision of children.

The role emphasises teamwork within a year group, with opportunities to contribute to school life. Successful applicants will join a warm, supportive staff community and receive CPD to develop practice.

• Support in the classroom alongside the Class Teacher.
• Work with children individually or in small groups (reading, planning and assessing learning).
• undertake lesson and classroom organisation and preparation, the care, supervision and welfare of children, class administration and other related activities.

Job description

Oak Green School is looking for a TA/LSA to work alongside a Class Teacher in this classroom role. The role will include providing support in the classroom, working with children within the whole class, with individuals or small groups, such as reading, planning and assessing learning with teaching staff, undertaking lesson and classroom organisation and preparation, the care, supervision and welfare of children, class administration and other associated activities.
