Teaching Assistant / Student Support Learning Mentor who is highly motivated, committed and adaptable to help and support students across a range of subjects is required to join a new state of the art school within a well-established Academy Trust based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.
ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED – NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous experience is desirable. Although not essential as Full Training will be provided. However, candidates will need a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
SALARY: £24,027 per annum FTE / Actual Salary £15,874 based on 28.5 hours per week + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 28.5 Hours per Week, 8:30am – 4:00pm One Day (not Friday) and 8:30am – 3:00pm for four additional days, Term Time Only (39 Weeks)

As the school embarks on their next phase of growth, they are seeking to appoint new Teaching Assistant / Student Support Learning Mentor to their team to support them on their journey to excellence.
Working as a Teaching Assistant / Student Support Learning Mentor you will be highly motivated and committed, with excellent communication skills, and the resilience to support a range of students across all subjects to maximise their potential. Adaptability is essential as is the capacity to relate well to both students and teachers. At the heart of what you do will be the passion to enable students with a variety of additional needs to reach their full potential and become well-rounded and independent individuals. You will show a ‘can-do’ attitude, help to maintain morale, be approachable and have excellent interpersonal skills.
As a Teaching Assistant / Student Support Learning Mentor you will have the desire to make a difference which will be equally valued along with a good sense of humour. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Applicants should have a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
