Job summary

Saint Pauls Catholic High School in Manchester is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 4 SAN - Behaviour, Guidance & Support for a full-time, permanent role. 35 hours per week during term time (39 weeks per year) with a salary of £29,450 - £33,038 per annum.

The successful candidate will lead on addressing student needs, manage interventions, assist with Education/Behaviour/Mentoring plans, and develop 1:1 mentoring while supporting learning with appropriate strategies and resources.

Qualifications

• Have a strong background in supporting students with additional education needs.
• Experience of working with children/young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Demonstrate integrity, teamwork and a positive approach to challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role within the school addressing the needs of students who require help to overcome barriers to learning
• Manage the interventions of students
• Assist the development and implementation of individual Education, Behaviour, Support and Mentoring plans
• Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements with students and provide support for distressed students
• Support students access to learning using appropriate strategies and resources
