Teaching Assistant - L3 - Clytha Primary School

Salary: Grade 5, SCP 12 - 17, £27,711 - £30,060 pro rata

The Head Teacher and Governing Body at Clytha Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Grade 5) to join our happy school. This position could be considered for a HLTA if an applicant has suitable qualifications and experience. This will be a permanent post starting on 1st September 2025. The appointment process will involve a short interview with the Head Teacher and a Governing Body member, and an in-class observation.

The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.

THIS POST REQUIRES REGISTRATION WITH THE EWC.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).

The post is part-time, 37 hours per week, over 39 weeks per year (term time only). Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods. The role may also involve participation in After School Club, Professional Learning Meetings, INSET days, and other school activities.
