Job Description

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St. Michael's RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This full-time post is offered on a fixed term basis commencing on 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026.

Requirements
  • Practicing Catholic or sympathetic/supportive of our Catholic ethos
  • Ability to work well in a team, supporting children under the guidance of teachers
  • Sensitivity to the emotional and wellbeing needs of children
  • Experience of working within a school
  • Understanding of child development

  • Registration with the EWC is required.
  • The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and subject to an enhanced DBS check.
  • This is a fixed-term position of 32.5 hours per week during school term time.
  • Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods.
  • A practical activity and interview will be held during the week beginning 2nd June 2025.
  • Closing date: Thursday, 15th May 2025 at 3:30 pm.
  • Shortlisting: Friday, 16th May 2025.
  • Selection process includes a practical activity and interview at St Michael’s RC Primary School.
