Job Description:
Hays Education is working with a number of schools in Bristol to find dedicated and passionate General Teaching Assistants to support their students in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help deliver high-quality education to students across various age groups and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in preparing and delivering lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for students who may need extra help with their studies.
  • Help maintain a productive and positive classroom environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in line with individual learning plans.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering support as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and resource preparation.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and patient attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
