Primary Teaching Assistant

London borough of Twickenham

£80 - £100/Day

My school is looking for a primary teaching assistant who is keen to work with primary school-aged children in Twickenham. The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

About The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside support staff in class and on a 1-1 basis with students who demonstrate challenging behaviour. You may also assist teachers off-site to deliver Outdoor Education, handle playtime duties, and engage with children who may struggle with confidence and self-esteem.

It is desirable if you:

• Have previous experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC
• Have youth/community work experience
• Have SEN experience
• Have residential support care experience
• Have sports coaching experience
• Have prior mentoring roles
• Have experience as a Teaching / Learning Support Assistant
• Can engage pupils in their learning and support their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing

Requirements:

• Ability to support the emotional, social, and mental health needs of young children
• Desire to support in an alternative education setting
