Job description

We are currently seeking dedicated and caring Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the St Albans area. These full-time positions are available for an immediate start and involve supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a classroom-based setting.

The role:

• Full time, Mon - Fri, 08.30am to 4:00pm

• As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting SEND pupils with both their academic progress and personal development.

• Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils, as directed by the class teacher

• Assisting with personal care needs where required, ensuring pupils feel safe and supported

• Promoting inclusion and encouraging pupils to engage fully with classroom activities

• Helping to create and lead play-based learning activities to support independence and communication

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement individual learning plans

The ideal candidate:

• Available immediately & local to the St Albans area
• Experience working with children in a professional setting
• Upbeat, caring and attentive personality as a Teaching Assistant
• Willing to support SEND children as a Teaching Assistant
